I love pasta which I believe is apparent in the blog. Despite my pursuit to eat clean, I indulge myself with pasta whenever I feel like devouring some.
The best part of cooking your own food though is you CAN control the portion of ingredients in each dish. So that makes it a little "less" sinful lol.
One of the many pasta recipes I absolutely like is this no-fuss and super easy to prepare tuna pasta Alfredo.
You'll be surprise what minimal ingredients can do to elevate the flavor of your usual meals, just like this one. Let's get started!
Serving Size: 2-3 people
Prep Time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients:
125 grams pasta of your choice, I used spaghetti on this one.
1 can of original flavored tuna
1/4 cup all purpose cream
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tablespoon butter
a dash of dried thyme
2 tablespoons of minced carrots (Optional)
2 tablespoons of water
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced onion
Procedure:
1.) Start with boiling the pasta in a pot with water, salt and a splash of oil. Cook pasta for 2-4 minutes until Al dente (firm to the bite).
2.) While waiting for the pasta to cook, you can start with the sauce. In a medium sized pan, add in dried thyme, butter, garlic and onion.
3.) Add in tuna and water and mix well. Include carrot bits and cover to cook for 2-3 minutes.
4.) Add full cream milk and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can adjust the amount of salt if you want it saltier.
5.) Drain cooked pasta and add into the sauce, mix and serve while hot.
6.) Enjoy!!
