Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

A quick and easy pasta recipe you can whip under 30 minutes.

Serving Size: 2-3

Ingredients:

6-7 Medium sized Shrimps (Peeled and Deveined)

100 grams spaghetti pasta

1 1/2 cup Fresh milk or 1 cup heavy cream

3 cloves garlic chopped finely

Medium sized onion chopped finely

1 teaspoon garlic power

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

A dash of salt

1 tablespoon flour or cornstarch dissolved in a bit of milk or water.

2 teaspoon olive oil (butter, canola or any cooking oil will also do)

1/4 cup shrimp stock

 

Procedure

1. Boil the pasta in 3 cups water with a dash of salt ad 1 tbsp oil until al dente (cooked but firm to bite).

1. In a medium sized pan, sautee minced onion and garlic in 2 tsp olive oil until the onion turns translucent and the garlic light brown.

2. Add the shrimps and shrimp stock, simmer for 1-2 minutes.

3. Add milk and dissolved flour, stir until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, ground pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic powder (add more or less of the suggested amount to suit your taste.)

4. Add cooked and drained pasta. Mix well and serve with a bit dried thyme.
